Direct Admission in B.Tech Colleges

The School of Bioengineering is a newly developed school with a focus on integrated approach to solve problems on biomedical and biotechnology. The curriculum offers flexibility for the students so that they can choose subjects based on their inclination within the vast field. The department offers a set of core and elective courses that helps students gain knowledge about the real world problems through holistic learning.

Direct Admission in B.Tech Colleges

The sustained effort is to produce graduates with a potential to solve real world problems aided by the techniques of biotechnology and biomedical engineering. The programme aims at providing real time exposure to students through regular workshops/ seminars, market research, industry/ hospital visits & contemporary expert lectures. The students are encouraged to undertake assignments/ project work from the industry and work towards finding possible solutions to integrate their practical knowledge with industrial practices. Keeping in view the employment potential, in-depth knowledge is provided to the students.

Innovations in Bioengineering
Bioengineering research provides solutions to the real world problems of environment and health, which are:

• A genetically modified common house plant can clear air borne toxins inside the house.
• 3-D printing cells can produce human tissues and organs.
• The Robotic Prosthetic Arm can sense, touch, move with human thoughts.
• Inspired from a tortoise, a tiny robotic capsule is developed which can replace insulin injections.
• Biomechtronic scientists have developed devices that enhance human motor skills which are impaired due to diseases/birth defects.
